How to purchase

Three paths. No mixed messages.

TEFA funds, standard-retail promotions, and institutional purchasing each follow a different route. We keep those routes separate and explain them before payment.

Standard retail

Families buying directly

Use personal funds for an eligible direct purchase and receive the family license terms before payment.

  1. 1Compare the curriculum and confirm the right grade fit.
  2. 2Review license, delivery, refund terms, and READY10 eligibility.
  3. 3Pay securely on Stripe’s hosted checkout page.
TEFA marketplace

Families using TEFA funds

TEFA purchases must be completed through the official marketplace using an individually approved offering.

  1. 1Build a planning cart and choose a curriculum or bundle.
  2. 2Match the exact title, inclusions, price, and offering ID in the marketplace.
  3. 3Complete the full TEFA-funded transaction inside the secure marketplace.
Open official TEFA site ↗
School & district

Institutional purchasing

Request a scope and licensing conversation for classrooms, programs, schools, or districtwide use.

  1. 1Share grade bands, seats, timeline, and desired outcomes.
  2. 2Review curriculum scope and implementation needs.
  3. 3Receive a tailored quote and purchasing route.

Important: Preparation Station may identify itself as an approved TEFA vendor. A curriculum is described as TEFA-approved only after that exact offering has been reviewed and appears in the marketplace. Standard-retail discounts do not apply to TEFA-funded transactions. TEFA-funded purchases are not refunded, rebated, or credited to a parent or student personal account; any adjustment must follow program rules and the marketplace process.

For schools & districts

Make practical learning easier to adopt.

Start with the outcome your learners need. Preparation Station can shape a curriculum review around grade range, seat count, program length, implementation model, accessibility needs, and purchasing requirements.

Curriculum reviewScope, learning outcomes, pacing, sample structure, assessment approach, and age fit.
Flexible licensing conversationSingle classroom, program, school, and district needs can be scoped before pricing.
Purchasing readinessShare quote, invoice, PO, vendor-document, accessibility, and onboarding requirements in one request.
Responsible implementationClarify facilitator roles, technology assumptions, support boundaries, and student-data expectations before adoption.

Help & FAQ

Clarity before commitment.

The practical questions families and purchasing teams ask most.

Is Preparation Station approved to participate in TEFA?

Preparation Station identifies itself as an approved TEFA vendor. The Texas Comptroller separately reviews vendor applications and individual offerings before those offerings appear in the marketplace. That is why every curriculum on this site shows its current offering status.

Can I use the 10% welcome offer with TEFA funds?

No. The welcome offer is for eligible standard-retail purchases only. It does not apply to TEFA-funded marketplace transactions, district pricing, taxes, prior orders, or other excluded purchases.

Where do I buy with personal funds?

Add an eligible curriculum to the secure cart, choose “Personal funds,” and continue to Stripe Checkout. Before paying, confirm the exact product, license, delivery timing, refund terms, and whether READY10 applies. TEFA-funded purchases must still be completed separately inside the official TEFA marketplace.

What does the listed price include?

The displayed amount is the planned one-time family curriculum license for the digital pathway described on each card. Your purchase confirmation should state the final version, access, delivery timing, support boundary, refund terms, and any required materials before payment.

How do school and district prices work?

Institutional pricing depends on seat count, grade bands, implementation scope, term, and purchasing requirements. Submit a quote request so the license and adoption needs can be scoped without forcing a family-price model onto a district purchase.

Does the reading pathway provide therapy?

No. The Structured Reading Support Pathway is educational curriculum and does not claim to diagnose, treat, or replace services from a qualified professional.

Why do some TEFA offerings still show “offering review”?

Vendor approval and offering approval are separate. A product remains in offering review until its exact marketplace record is approved and the offering ID is confirmed. Families using TEFA funds purchase only through the official marketplace.

Ready for the next step?

Choose the purchase path that fits.

Checkout securely with personal funds, verify an exact TEFA offering in the official marketplace, or request a school quote. The routes stay separate from the start.
